I don’t know that it’s that obvious violence isn’t part of the celebration. I don’t mean that violence is advocated but the whole “celebration” is based on resentment: resentment about slavery and resentment that it took so long for official notice of the Emancipation Proclamation to reach some blacks. So if you are stoking negative attitudes, then violence is a logical, if not inevitable, outgrowth of that stoking.

I’d like to at least know the race of the victim. Was this a Damian “Football” Williams style beating of a White motorist by a gang of Black Thugs, or was he just part of the celebration and having issues with his ‘dawgs’.

If the former why no mention of the obvious hate crime aspect of the beating?
