I understand there are lots of folks working in positions where they could be called out of the country suddenly; however, I interpreted her statement as folks are just clamoring for passports just because. I am in the process of applying for my husband and myself because we know we will be going to the Bahamas next April. Most of the folks I know have passports and look at us like we have two heads when they find out we don’t have them. The look one would get if spotted talking on a “brick” or “bag” phone. We aren’t among the world travelers in our circle.
I let mine lapse in 2003, I think it was. Can I keep the old one and still receive a new one?
