Man, don't get me started with that little punk. He knows who his sponsor is and their relationship with NASCAR. That's why he does and says whatever he wants, knowing he will have to kill someone to get suspended. It's a shame because I was a big TS fan his first few years in Cup. Since then, he has become no different than Harvick, or the Busch's. A collection of ill-mannered, belligerent twerps.
The sport was so much better back when owners generally stayed away from anyone younger than their late 20's. With the invasion of "kids", there has been an erosion of respect. Contrary to popular belief, dumping someone on the last lap just because you were close enough to ram their bumper, was once taboo. Sure Earnhardt built a reputation on it, but he was smart enough to spread it out over a career. Now, not only is it accepted, it's expected. #ell, any jacka$$ can ram the car in front of them. Real drivers pass another car without touching it.
I was never a fan of Earnhardt (when he was alive), but now I understand how important he was to the sport. He was old school and had the star power to keep NASCAR in line with its roots. It wasnt much of a problem when Bill Jr. was running things, but Brian France had to be held in check. With the loss of Dale Sr. and no leadership from Dale Jr., Brian has been able to convert the sport to what he and his California buddies think it should be. An advertising company.
