Infineon Raceway is one of the premier road racing venues in the country, and one of the few on the NASCAR Winston Cup Series circuit. The facility first opened in 1968 and serves as the gateway to the beautiful and scenic Sonoma Valley, which serves as one of the top wine-producing regions in the world.
God Bless our Armed Forces and their families and those who have paid for our freedoms with their sacrifice.

So crash lost that race because he decided not to pit under caution?
On the good side.. It wasnt a Chevy, it wasnt one of the big teams. Dodge gets a victory.
And I am a Jeff Gordon fan.

Positive comments by Jeff G. (who did pick up a few spots in points) re: racing with Tony. “I enjoyed racin him, he is so good here” and “I don’t mind bangin’ each other as long as we don’t crash”
THANKS for the thread, was a FUNNN Sunnnnday!
God Bless America and all who sail on her!
Nice of Jeff to save Tony by letting him slide into his car like that. Lots of good hard racin’ today!
I am just glad that Jeff didnt end up in a crash having to start so far back.

Thanks to all ya’all who didn’t run out of gas today on the thread.
I missed most of the telecast and caught some of the action on radio.
Too bad Kurt Busch is on double probation and couldn’t return the favor to JPM for an earlier spin-out at the end of the race..
It was a mixed bag today.. I’ll be kind and leave it at that.

It’s off to Loudon next week with NYTexan at the helm and Daytona in a couple weeks..
I wish NASCAR had âMoonshineâ races. Current cars with a window sticker price (sans taxes and delivery) of no more than %35,000.00 in the no options configuration. All models would be constructed in the Good Old USA. Only the most common sense safety items to be mandated. Modifications would be limited to the drive train, tires and brakes. All races would be on road courses and limited to no more than 400 miles due to slower speeds. Let American ingenuity and driver skills be the route to winning a race. More fun, More pride. Leave the paint-by-number instruments with four wheels be left to formula and indy racing.
Thanks for the thread Norm even if you moved ahead of me in the league.I am now in 21st spot and headed for the cellar...

No problem, the wine and beer keeps cooler longer in the cellar anyway,, I can only aspire to the depths you have been in the cellar before, 26th is as far as I waltzed so far. ;-)
I like my beer about 38 degrees.
Hi Norm...quick question:
Why do they call it the “Toyota/SaveMart 350”? I did the calculating and 110 laps on a 1.99 mile track is only about 217 miles.
just guessing here but if you convert the mileage to kilometers
maybe?
