Hamlin wins ,, the first time ever for a substitute driver, Amirola, to qualify a car and the regular driver to win..

Hamlin was in Sonoma earlier in the day and will be racing tomorrow at Infineon.

Today Sunny. Highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s. West winds 5 to 10 mph increasing to around 15 mph in the afternoon.

That two-car pass by Hamlin to take the lead with about fifty to go was wicked!

I hate to say it but I finally agree with Jimmy Spencer who had some wise words for Nascar on RaceDay. He said that Nascar is taking the ingenuity out of the teams when they penalize them for pushing the envelope.

That’s how a company wins, by exploring the gray areas, by testing more than others and by being committed to winning. Like Junior Johnson and others back in the day. They explored areas way ahead of others and were successful at it.

Nascar is making a hard driving sport into what could be called baby pablum.

Went out to Walmart this morning about 9:30a. Hghy 37 was backed up all the way into Vallejo already. That’s 12 miles of single lane road.

Nascar on TNT- 3:30pm-4:30pm
Countdown to Green- 4:30pm-5pm
Race- 5pm-8:30pm
