Verizon is offering TV, Phone and Internet for 99.00/month. They come in, install fiber optics in your house and away you go.
They don’t service my area yet however employees here have gotten it and love it.

I am scheduled for the Verizon FIOS upgrade in early July.
Hoo Baby!
But with taxes, fees and the HDTV upgrade, it comes out to $138 a month, not $99. Still a good deal.

Verizon doesn’t offer anything in my area (southern Wake County, NC), except cell phone.
Time Warner Cable offers something similar, but I don’t want VoIP, because of the lack of 911-enhanced service guarantees.
The $10/month offer is for a 1-year commitment, but the price is good until the end of 2009.

Once you have fibre, I don't think you can ever go back. DSL/plain-old-tel-service is noisy, sensitive to wind and rain if you have overhead wires. When I had DSL, my download rate was all over the map, probably according to the background noise level.
With fibre, voice calls are crystal clear - noise FREE! At first, I thought the phone was broken without the background noise that was always previously there to remind me. Download rates are a steady 5 mb/sec.

I just got the Comcast “Triple Play”, they told me it would be $139 a month. I received my bill a couple of days ago, it was $200! I’m considering dumping Comcast, only thing is I like the highspeed internet, which I’ve had for about 5 years now.
I’m getting tired of being ripped off on a daily basis by every utility co.

I’m on the FIOS contact list for when it becomes available in my area.

We just got Verizon Fios last week. My husband thinks he’s died and gone to heaven! I like it much better than our former comcast!
