Each year more Americans join the rolls of those who get more from the government than they pay in (see Tax Foundation web site for data) More than 60% take in more benefits than they pay in taxes, and as of last year for the first time >50% effectively paid no net tax at all. When the majority don’t pay, how can elections change anything? They can’t.
