Collin Finnerty Dad was just on Glenn Beck (before this announcement) and stated they would not go after the 88. He brushed off their behavior by stating they were reacting to Nifong. I thought he was too forgiving, well I think they got the 88 via this settlement. Somehow Duke will take care of the 88.....

The way I see this is that Duke offered a settlement because any future litigation would surely be based upon "The Gang of 88" and their statements, and Duke University's lack of action against them as the university is probably not liable for damanges based upon anything else.

Given its a private settlement, he can't talk about the details, and maybe that' why it seems as if he is brushing it off and is too forgiving.
