> Get a bit too generous with it and it’ll sting you bad. Skin-falling-off bad.

(giggle!) fantastic use of Imagery: classic! Close your eyes and you can picture it... ouch!

I use Tiger Balm Red for sore muscles after slinging around concrete (my latest occupation) or training with my Guardian Angels. That, and Arnica cream, will cure all that ails ya, guaranteed! And as you say, to be used sparingly else nasty consequences!

The Tiger Balm linament, tho’, is a real treat: it is a clear oil, and it comes in a really KEWL hexagonal glass bottle that allows ONE DROP out at a time. Three drops only is more than plenty for a foot-bath! Use with Epsom Salts: ideal if you spend much time on your feet.

(Ought to be Standard Issue to the Troops: one tiny bottle lasts forever, and would be just what the doctor ordered after a hard day’s Patrol.)

Has the added advantage of making your boots, sox, and sneakers smell minty-fresh for days: no doubt by killing off all the greeblies that would otherwise cause them to stink.

Yes. You get them in two flavours, the red and the white.

I use them to clear congested noses. A little dab on a cloth handkerchief and you can take whiffs throughout the day.

It was this one time that I applied it directly onto my nose, when I discovered that it becomes much more effective at fighting congestion. Then, I applied some more, and even more, and the next day, I woke up with a red line on my nose. The subsequent day, the skin fell off. Nothing drastic, it was just like lifting off a very, very thin, dry scab. No marks, but it did have a tingling sensation for a while. Ever since, I go very easy on it with sensitive skin.

The smell and feel is quite refreshing, and I guess that’s how it works, by distracting your mind from the aches.

Soap, Dettol, tiger balm and toothpaste. All the toiletry I’d ever need.
