Paul Potts, an overweight 36-year old regular guy with an ordinary job stunned the opera world. With incredible performances, he won the competition at Britain's Got Talent. People from all over the world, who have never cared about opera before, were cheering him on. It is a great human interest story.
Most people did not know what he was singing because, of course, it was in Italian. As a public service, I have provided the translation. It may bring you to tears.

No. Only saw a post yesterday here saying he’d won and went to You Tube to see the videos. I avoid these TV shows like the plague. Unfortunately, in this case I wish I hadn’t.

They also have a video of Potts doing TIME TO SAY GOODBYE that was made popular by Bocelli and a video of a longer version of Nessun Dorma. He was stuck in a job as a phone salesman because he needed to pay the bills. Now, his incredible gift from God is going to be shared with the world. This story is so remarkable and heartwarming.

I know - this guy was just unspeakably magnificent! I was expecting to see a reprise of the William Hung performance when this guy came on and then....WOW!!!!!!!
I honestly teared up this was so good - he captured the spirit of the piece.
