Sen. Barack Obama is on the defensive after his campaign staff referred to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's political affiliation as "D-Punjab."
A three-page analysis of the Bill and Hillary's Clinton's investments, titled "Hillary Clinton (D-Punjab)'s Personal Financial and Political Ties," was sent out to news organizations. It also slams Hillary's record on outsourcing, and on protecting American jobs.
The document was sent with the understanding that news organizations not reveal that the Obama campaign was the source.
When asked about the document, Bill Burton, a spokesman for Obama told the New York Times: "We did give reporters a series of comments she [Hillary] made on the record and other things that are publicly available to anyone who has access to the Internet. I dont see why anyone would take umbrage with that.
Asked why the Obama campaign had initially insisted that it not be connected to the document, Burton replied, "Im going to leave my comment at that.
When the Time of India sought comment, the Obama campaign expressed regret and asserted that he has been a "longtime friend" of the Indian-American community.
"Our campaign is fortunate to have strong support of the Indian-Americans across the country," campaign manager David Plouffe said.
"The intent of the document was to discuss the issue of outsourcing but we regret the tone that part of the document took," he said.
Either you get the joke or you don't...
As usual, if you bash the Clintons somehow YOU are at fault for ‘going negative’
(oh did any one question the beast about the Punjab connections?)
Does the “D” in “D Punjab” stand for “Dot”?
LMFAO!!!
Obama X should have called her “macaca” instead.
Although Hillary denies any attempt at pandering to the Indian-American group, I have it on good authority that all her travel arrangements are now being made by someone named Patel.
Obama al-Husseini shows yet again how he hasn’t got the mettle to win.
“This is all meaningless, because every Democratic Indian-American is already voting for Joe Biden.”
Shitlery gives him some strong competition in the insulting Indians dept.
Remember the Gandhi in a Gas Station comment?
Macaca?
