Actually you could say the same thing about Sharon. He was one of Israel’s great heroes, but he’s the guy who put Israel where it is today, pulling out of the Gaza strip, forming a new party, making it possible for Olmert to take office. Israel should not attack Gaza at this time. Let Hamas finish off Fatah in the West Bank. Then the next rocket attack from Hamas should prompt an all out invasion by the IDF of Gaza and the West Bank to destory Hamas, drive out the Arabs and occupy the territory permanently. In the meantime, America must stop sending any aid to Fatah, Hamas or the "palestinians." Let S. Arabia waste its money on them.

Bert you misunderstand.
There is a difference between not requiring troops to enter buildings or take unreasonable risks to insure non-combatants are not killed while attacking an enemy verses targeting non-combatants.
The first is legal and civilian deaths that result from that instance are unfortunate but lawful. The second is not. Nor should it be.
