If you scratch any democrat hard enough, there is a white robe underneath.
That must have scared the Indian community silly. They know exactly what that means, and odds are good they want none of that here in the US.
Macaca moment.
“...the fact is that in a snap judgment on a dispute between Australia (our ally) and Indonesia, he instantly took the Indonesian side.

VERY interesting. Great points there, muawiyah
What are the chances they sent similar to Her Heinous for the Gandhi gas station joke? Or to the dumbest man in the Senate for his Dunkin’ Donuts joke? Nothing on their website about either. Why Dumbo, then?
Hahahahahahaa !
All-syrup super squishy!
Indian American stereotypes:
1) Indians will work in minimum wage jobs even though they hold advanced university degrees.
2) In fact, they are so hard working that they will sometimes hold two or even three jobs at once.
Uh, is there a problem here?
***In the letter Chairman Puri states, “As representatives of the Indian American community, we have been encouraged by your message of inclusion and your promise to bring a new kind of politics to our country. This is why we are so concerned about media reports indicating your staff may be engaging in the worst kind of anti Indian American stereotyping.”***
That’s the kinda politics where you keep your mouth shut and let the government tell you what to do.
And why would Indians be scared of Indonesians?
Hmmm ~ lots of Indians there; used to be predominantly Hindu; several centuries of constant warfare by Malay types against Indian types; competition in tropical products markets; ..... Moslem dominated country much like Pakistan.
Did I use the word "fear" or "disgust"?
Almost forgot, nearly within living memory you have headhunters operating in Indonesia. No doubt early Indian traders and settlers found that quietly unsettling ~
Indonesia, along with Malaysia also has a massively off-balanced “affirmative action” system, wherein the citizens of Indian/Chinese descent are second-class, vis-a-vis the under-achieving native populace.
Yup, almost forgot that one. Chinese, Chinese/Indian, Indian people in Indonesia and Malaysia are considered bukenasli, but are otherwise too numerous to be tossed into the oven, not that the Malay folk wouldn’t want to do that ~ which, of course, raises in the minds of many questions about any lingering head-hunting ambitions they might have.
Heh heh, indeed!
Disgust...maybe. However Indonesia is far away from Indian psyche. India dominated their culture for a better part of the last millenium rather then they pschologically influence us any way. For an average Indian, Indonesia is far away.
He or she is aware of the world, has a couple of satellite dishes up, makes better than average income, and is most likely engaged in a profession of some sort.
I think they are very aware that in the long run Indonesia and India have some very fundamental differences ~ hence the concern the Indians here have over Osamabama's solicitude of Indonesia, and people who make fun of and ridicule Indians.
BTW, Hillary is up to her eyeballs with Indonesian interests to. Can you say Mokhtar Riady? How about Lippo?
For an average American no matter how much aware of world events (which is honestly very uncommon), Indonesia is half the world away. Indian American or Indian Indian neither of them would be too concerned over a Senator's comment on a far away Indonesia then say Bush Government’s support for Pakistan.
Its not that Indians are paranoid of any and every Muslim country on the planet. This sounds like another of your weird reasoning.
