Watch the video on utube.

His comments were very clearly mushy on the subject. No clarity there.

I am not sure Romney is that much clearer either. I like Tancredo and Hunter myself although I don’t see them climbing out of 2nd tier. This issue might do it though.

Provide a direct quote or admit you lied.
He NEVER said ANYTHING about “regularizing” illegals, he said
“NO AMNESTY”,
and
“If we can make it nearly impossible for an invader to get a job and give the border patrol the authority and resources to arrest illegals and send them back where they came from, more than half the battle will have been won.”

Yes, because after regularize comes supersize.
To: Gene Eric
Except Thompson never SAID that.

I don't recall EVER hearing or reading Thompson say anything about "regularizing " illegals.

I love Tom, but wish he would STFU about Miami. Aurora, CO is more of a third world city than Miami, to say nothing of much of the southern portion of his own state.
Besides, Miami sends three GOPers to Washington, and is the largest private banking center (in terms of deposits) in the SE. It has its issues, but Tom needs to look in his own backyard before he belittles other's cities.

“I think its time for a little plain talk to the leaders of Mexico.
Something like:
hey guys, youre our friends and neighbors and we love you but its time you had a little dose of reality. A sovereign nation loses that status if it cannot secure its own borders and we are going to do whatever is necessary to do so, although our policies wont be as harsh as yours are along your southern border. And criticizing the U.S. for alternately doing too much and too little to stop your illegal activities is not going to set too well with Americans of good will who are trying to figure a way out of the mess that your and our open borders policy has already created.
My friends, its also time for a little introspection. Since we all agree that improving Mexicos economy will help with the illegal-immigration problem, you might want to consider your own left-of -center policies. For example, nationalized industries are not known for enhancing economic growth. Just a thought. But heres something even more to the point that you might want to think about: What does it say about the leadership of a country when that countrys economy and politics are dependent upon the exportation of its own citizens?”

"People have to understand what we're talking about here. The president of the United States is an internationalist," Tancredo told WND in an exclusive interview. "He is going to do what he can to create a place where the idea of America is just that it's an idea. It's not an actual place defined by borders. I mean this is where this guy is really going."
He's right. It can't be said much more bluntly. To BushCo, America is already over and that is a Good Thing.
The White House is determined to erase America as a nation-state.

I was disappointed to see Thompson touting we must regularize the 12-20 million already here. Do you have a source for that? A transcript, a news article, anything?

Tancredo offered similar proposals at least seven times in the past three years and theyve always failed by big margins. Today? 234-189, with no fewer than 49 Democrats voting in favor.
