About 2 weeks ago I was getting on a flight leaving out of Syracuse, NY, and there was some poor guy who was running really late. This really put off the TSA guy who decided that he needed to goad him by telling him repeatedly “that’s why we tell you to be an hour early for your flight”. This guy (TSA)had the balls to tell me that he had never been late for anything in his life. On my way back from mid-tour leave last year, we had an extremely uppity woman threaten to arrest GIs for having spit bottles coming through the GA airport-this is coming from Iraq and Afghanistan.
The power tripping that goes on with some of these people really can fill you with the urge to punch them in the face. I also believe that job requirements are no felony convictions and a HS diploma or GED....for sure not the cream of the crop.
I understand the job that they are doing, and I certainly have met nice people working in TSA, but, jeez, the idiots really seem to raise their stupid little heads when they get some authority
