"doesn't ensure secure borders and guarantees amnesty" for illegal aliens."That's the basic purpose of this Bill....who cares about the American peoples' wishes? Corporate donors want the low-wage labor they are currently using NOT to be messed with, and the Congress will shove it up the taxpayers' a$# as usual...

This is not over yet. Bush refuses to give up this easily. It's his stubborn character. As I predicted he would try to resurrect it and call it something else. We have to keep our guard up. We need to keep the pressure up. We have no choice but to fight. The oligarchy wants cheap labor and a destruction of the middle class and the millionaire democrats want votes they can count on. A marriage made in HELL.
STAGE TWO is to go after the people who hire illegals. Start giving them fines and arresting them. Just catch ten or 100 of them on the nightly news. The magnet will dry up and most of the 12 million will go home by themselves.
As an addendum, we should anonymously call the IRS, people working "off the books" means taxes ain't being paid. Make anonymous fliers and hang them around the neighborhood, name names. It's time to embarrass these bustards, whether they give to the GOP or Rats, we don't need them.
CALL! CALL! CALL! CALL! AND KEEP CALLING TILL THE LINES FRY!
WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! TILL YOU RUN OUT OF INK IN YOUR PEN!
Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti illegal immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them. This is a bipartisan issue not a Conservative or Liberal issue BUT AN AMERICAN issue.
STOP AMNESTY NOW!! WE CAN DO IT!!
The best way to stop Shamnesty

Thanks for providing an audio link. I tried to stay awake and catch the re-run of her show last night, but just couldn’t do it.

I listened to that interview when it was first broadcast. One thing that caught my attention was that I thought Snow said that 78 miles of fence were already built, not just a few miles. I have not seen or heard that anywhere else. Anyone else catch this? Or did I get it wrong?

...55 percent of the Democrats want the border enforced...This issue transcends party. If we flush our sovereignty down the toilet, the rest won't matter.

"Eight-five of the GOP doesn't like what the White House is doing on this," she said. "You're talking the base of this party." Unbelievable how our "public servants" could give a rat's behind what 85% of the base thinks.

“I thought Snow said that 78 miles of fence were already built”
The last report I received from the neighbors down south was according to Duncan Hunter only 14 miles of fencing had been constructed. Here is the link to a picture of the actual fencing construction and report from Hunter’s website.

Unfortunately, we don’t get her live in Tucson anymore, so I frequently miss her show. She’s great!!

We need a Federal bounty on illegals and those who hire them. Let’s get the free market working in our favor for a change. $100 a head for illegals deported and $5000 an employer for those successfully prosecuted. No more messing around.

They call us bigots and vigilantes, yet when Snow was speaking the other day, he mentioned “more boots on the ground.” That to me sounds more like Stalin’s army than anything else. Plus we all know it’s a lie and the only boots will be plucking the brave Border Patrol off to prison cells.
To: kellynla
It appears that Snow and the WhiteHouse are counting all existing fence, not just the 13-14 miles built since last year's authorization. The WhiteHouse is pissing on us and telling us it's raining.
To: Borax Queen; Lakeshark
"You keep repeating that, but nobody believes you," she said. "Nobody buys that this administration is serious about the border." bttt!

Where are these poor, underpaid illegal’s going to get $5,000 apiece. What is the impact on our property taxes, state and local taxes which will have to be increased to deal with the increased populations due to the ‘extended’ families they will be bringing in? What impact will they have on our overcrowded prisons and jails...6-7% of any population ends up in prison or jail. What is the impact on our already overburdened charity hospitals? NO one has said a word about these things.
