What I don’t understand is why Bush is making such an all out effort for this bill. Where was this enthusiasm for conservative issues like privatizing SS?

I wonder about that too. I was leaning toward the first step toward the North American Union but my husband cautioned that that was merely a far-out old theory and not to get typed as a proponent of something like that.
I usually listen to him as he many times sees things more realistically than I might.
