That’s the reason we have laws

When laws are enforced on an inconsistent basis or ignored all together when elected officials and judges feel like it, the whole system is worthless

Only when he does something deserving a derisive captioning.

He is not JFK speaking German to the people of Berlin;he is speaking to U.S. citizens in the U.S. and ought to be speaking the predominant language.Language helps unite a people.If the population of a nation cannot even understand each other's spoken word how can they co-operate on other things?

Really - so those who, from a position of Conservatism and little-l libertarianism, who are angry with the Administration for going out of his way to

-Kowtow to international institutions and anti-soverignty treaties after mocking Kerry for describing a ‘global test’

-Call those of us who don’t support his deadly open borders policy ‘nativist’ and suggest we are racist

-Billions here and billions there to wasteful ‘foreign aid’ programs such as the recent promise of $30 BILLION for ‘AIDS money for Africa,’ as if more money will make a difference, or the previous money did either

-Called those of us who didn’t support Harriet Miers ‘sexist’

-Is going to send more weapons to the Palestinians, after the 15,000 rifles we already sent are now in the hands of Hamas, and the Fatah ‘moderates’ masquerade as al Aqsa gunmen at night anyway.

-Can’t find his veto pen

-Proposes huge domestic program increases, and increases the size of government rather than shrinking it.

-Treats Ted Kennedy better than he does his own base, after Kennedy does nothing but crap on him, and his base has been supportive - until now.

Meanwhile you are the one who called me “Spark hole,” which has a rotten sexual connotation as opposed to ‘sparky’ which I called you because you were a little too excited to ping the owner of this forum because you were upset that someone might deride your BIG LIBERAL HERO BUSH - and then have the gall to tell someone who called you on it, who is mad that Bush acts like a liberal, to “take it to DU.”

Bush supporters in mid 2007 are the ones who belong in DU. After all, he’s doing 90% of what they want. It’s his new base, only they aren’t smart enough to realize it yet - and neither are the Daily Dosers on FR.

He went out his way to earn it - expended more political capital on crap like this than he ever did on a single Conservative move like judicial appointments, which he caved on. Like reducing the size of government, which he never started on.

Undying support for the President and his leftist policies?

There is a long and honorable policy of political derision in the US - going back to the War for Independence, and the arguments between the Federalists and Antifederalists, never mind the Imperial King George.

i wonder how many of you who are so “eloquently” using all the sarcasm and ridicule you can muster towards our President actually think about what Jesus’ heart would be toward those who seek the sanctuary of the free in the land of the brave, like we have here in America?

As a believer in Christ, there is no law higher than the laws of God — His heart of compassion for people should always reign paramount in our hearts and in our actions.

I truly believe that President Bush seeks God’s will at the highest level in his heart, without compromising the laws we have in place. Whether you agree or not, he is acting on conscience, while seeking peace among those from the opposible aisle, to bring about a solution to a megaproblem that has plagued us for years.

The solution is never as easy as most of you in here make it out to be. Building a wall 20 feet high and throwing 11 million people out of the country is ludicrous and impractical. I know i’ll get eggs and rocks thrown at me, but i just see this whole thing a different way.

You all are eager to find the “traitor” among us, especially at the top levels of leadership. You put your faith, i think, in a man MORE than you put your faith and hope in God. That may sound harsh and judgemental, but i’m only learning from all of you in here, listening to the venum with which you all speak.

I trust that President George Bush is truly keeping his relationship with God in first place, and knows he may appear to be letting down his party and his people. But i think his motive is righteous. I really do. I don’t agree with every decision he’s made either, but I think he wants God’s will for this country more than he wants to be popular.

My two cents...now come rocks, eggs and tomatoes.

Go for it.

You’ll have to take it up with the Commander in Thief, after all he’s the one who derided those who opposed Miers as sexist, opposed Dubai Ports as fools, opposed Amnesty as nationalist racists yay-hoos, and now Trent Lott his buddy says it’s a problem that ‘talk radio runs America’ and they need to ‘do something about it.’

Sit down, shut up is for SUBJECTS. If we expect to be treated like free men, then we need to stand up top these latter-day Mandarins and act like it!
