President George W. Bush delivers remarks at the National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C., Thursday, June 16, 2005. "In America, people of faith have no corner on compassion, but people of faith need compassion to be true to the call to "Ame al projimo como a sí mismo," love your neighbor like you'd like to be loved yourself. That's a universal call," said the President. White House photo by Eric Draper
of course we do. and you know that, if you know the Bible at all...
Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,
I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?
When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25..
And Smittie...that takes some kind of person to say that the “first thing an illegal does when he comes here is to break our laws”...
Wow...isn’t that what most of you call “racism” from the other side? Lumping a group of people into a category with a label, and assuming they are all the same, and have no redeeming qualities?
Anyway...God DOES have a lot to say about this issue of who we should or shouldn’t include, as I included above from Matthew. And no, it isn’t arrogant to speak for God, only when and if we quote HIS WORDS and not make up our own interpretation.
As His child, I am called and free to do just that, and required by His calling and purpose. These truths DO apply to the larger issue of immigration, whether anyone in FR wants to admit it or not.
here come the tomatoes again....
I guess you don't lock your doors? That might inconvience the crooks that want in.
Like I said before Jesus said to respect the government's laws. There are legal ways to enter our country you know.
I thought Looter guy would make exception give her Corona beer LOL!
