Comments by Republican senators on Thursday suggested that they were feeling the heat from conservative critics of the bill, who object to provisions offering legal status. The Republican whip, Trent Lott of Mississippi, who supports the bill, said: Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.

Trent Lott jumped the shark long ago. Someone (Hillary?) has damning info about his college days as a male cheerleader. He has been totally compromised (and probably not the first time).

Congress is being run by actors.
When you can’t make your argument with facts, logic, or honesty, you can always have an actor present your case for you.
Or have a poet write something up.

Comment:
No Trent eventually we will deal with you, Limply grahamCRACKER, John McCaniac, Spector and all of your turncoat actions.
Your turn in the proverbial barrel on the hill is coming and sooner than you think.

The Republican whip, Trent Lott of Mississippi, who supports the bill, said: Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem. Trent Lott is the problem and we WILL deal with THAT problem next election. Unless the good citizens of MS force him out of office before that time. I think a little tar and feathers would be in order.

I just got through to Sen. Lott’s DC office:
202 224-6253
I told the young women who answered that I was one of the “little people”. If Mr. Lott even thinks about silencing talk radio I will do my best to vote him out! Better yet, I now support term limits!

Excellent. Everyone should phone Lott’s office about this anti-talk radio comment.

Lott and his fellow "annointed" brethren simply despise being held to account for their actions, and talk radio shines a large spotlight on their shenanigans/corrupition/treason like nothing else. No surprise he's calling for "something to be done about it" (translation: legislated out of existence).
Damn statist SOBs are begging for trouble like never before, and one day they'll get it.

Here in PA, having Spincter as Our Senator is a disgrace for the entire State.

Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.
No, we have to deal with the problem of bloated, complacent Senators who believe that citizens voicing their opinions and making their views heard is a bad thing. Lott sounds like a member of the Politburo.

having Spincter as Our Senator
Comment:
I am ashamed that I did not think of the word Spincter long before now.

Dear Senator Lott,
Updating a remark of Thomas Jefferson for changes in technology:
If I had to choose between government without talk radio, and talk radio without government, I would not hesitate to choose the latter.
Sincerely,
the Republican Party base

The Fairness Doctrine sounds like it has another supporter.
I've been trying to tell people on FR for months that The Fairness Doctrine will get a ton of Republican votes and be signed into law long before the next election. The handwriting has been on the wall prior to the '06 election. They may call it "right-wing" talk radio, but what it is, is the voice of the informed people who are awake and watching, something the elites cannot allow to continue to exist.
