I think Newt believes that the "global warming" position will negatively impact the Conservative movement in the future, and his "green conservatism" is a way to counter it. It looks to me like he believes that there is a lot of business opportunities in the "green business" and it will help entrepreneurs. I think the final thought is that he believes in gaining more energy independence from the Middle East, and he believes "green conservatism" is the way to do it.
I still have doubts on it. Ha!
I wanted Newt to be ready for 2000, but he had his problems and killed that off. I'm still hoping that someone will consider him for VP... Have a great day !

Yeah, thats the only problem I have with Newt, other than that I think he would be good.
