No, no you don’t. When I lived in Manhattan (54th and 1st) 25 years ago..it felt cosmopolitian- lots of people from all over the world...but all together..as New Yorkers. My friends and family who still live there tell me the illegal problems there are bad and getting worse...
As someone born under LaGuardia, I lived in NYC pretty much continually through to Bloomberg. (a little college and the service) Though I don’t believe it was his fault, Koch’s second term was when the city started having an illegal alien problem.
