You know Conservatives asking Bush to pass a Conservative filled (Border Wall) (Enforce the existing law) standard bill as part of immigration reform with a Democrat controlled Congress, is like the liberals asking Bill Clinton, while mired in the Monica scandal, to attempt and have Congress pass a law that says a women has the right to murder her unborn child up until the day of birth and then getting upset with him when he doesn’t do it. The base in its attempt to hold Bush accountable allows nothing to get done about immigration in the present and if the GOP loses the WH in 08.. Well lets just say you can pretty much bet the Dem bill to “FIX” the Illegal problem is going to make the current one look like it is sponsored by Tom Tancredo. This is a naked and pathetic attempt at the fake "silent amnesty" non-argument advanced by the Benedict Arnold wing of what's left of the GOP. Yeah, we must accept this Bill, or else! Or else what? Geeze. WTF is up w/ some people?

It isn’t fake... It is a real choice... You either take what you got when you can get bipartisan support with enough pressue on GOP politicians to get security built in to the bill or you do what you are doing and run the GOP to ground over it and let it develope into the wedge issue that loses the GOP the WH in 08...

Now if the Dems win the WH in 08 how are they going to fix Illegal Immigration...

“Well Maybe the Democrats will build a wall and not let the illegals have amnesty” Democrat politicians are upset over border security too right?

The Democrats are loving every minute of this issue... Just like I said during the abortion fight the left hated their Democrat leaders for not forcing the congress to write the law... Their candidates suffered from the abortion wedge issue the Democrats learned how to use the Judicial branch to bypass the Congress to fix that for them ....

So keep on lambasting Bush on this issue you will eventually get what you don’t want... Hard head Conservatives refused to learn from NOV 06...

Just one other point too... The big upset base barely notched his approval numbers over this issue so get over yourselves you are fringe minorities.
