I have a question for the WH...how are these “POOR” under paid illegal aliens going to pay the fines? They are hard pressed to put food on the table from all the reports I read or is this just another law that will go unenforced?
How much are my local taxes going up to support them?

A: The same way they pay for the numerous labor/delivery/maternity costs yearly... us.

In case anyone missed this:

June 15, 2007 WASHINGTON - As the U.S. Congress mulls the fate of illegal immigrants, the Bush administration is granting temporary protection for 312,000 Central Americans.

The so called $5,000 penalty is only $1000 with the remainder to be paid over a long number of years, for the record.

And how many happy illegal employing employers will be happy to kick in the $1,000 to retain their serfs? Many I would suggest.

As for the other $4,000. It will be forgotten, mark my words. And of course the IRS can not pursue back taxes as there will be not penalty for back taxes.

Nice deal if you can get it.
