I understand what you’re saying, but I just don’t agree. I don’t see people being unduly hostile here either. FR of old was much, much worse. I also don’t think anyone from the WH is going to read these posts and change their minds. I don’t think they’ll read in post 1230 that you pointed out that somebody figured out what they’re doing, so they’ll just admit it and stop. Or they’ll answer post 1230’s question “yes” and stop to ask what we think about the NAU. It’s all done under the radar, in smokey back rooms, and the people aren’t even a consideration.
Remember how nice Chamberlain was to Hitler? I think our being nice and polite will have the same affect.
