Wrong answer. Finish the trials, and clear their names properly, by having them found innocent by their peers. THAT is the RIGHT answer. Then, I wouldn’t have any argument against them suing those who falsely maligned them. Slander AND libel, I believe.
You hit the nail on the head, Old Student! If the hearings are not completed there will be cries of coverup and conspiracy theories galore. When they are exonerated then WE can help them turn up the heat on those that convicted them before the hearings. I’ve already started making my list.
