There is a quote going around on the Web that American Indians found out what happens when you don't control immigration. They also found out what happens when you a government controls you, when you believe "The Great White Father," when you rely on politicians who say they have your best interest in mind, and when you trust politicians farther than you can throw them. However, most Native Americans I know still believe in the sanctity of family and the value of friends, they would still give a friend the last shirt off their back, and they would still take a stranger stuck in a blizzard into their homes, feed them, and give them shelter. It happens all the time. Many other Americans should take a lesson from Native American cultures who believe that they must do what is best for the next seven-generation of their descendants. Too many Americans and want-to-be Americans cannot think beyond the next credit card or government hand-out arriving in the mail.
Unfortunately, many socio-economic groups who have yet to achieve prosperity in the USA have given up working for their childrens future and many from other countries, who do not want to make the sacrifices that our ancestors made in making American great, believe they are owed the right to come to the USA and share in the fruits of the labor and blood, actual spilled blood, of the hundreds of thousands of Americans who gave their lives to make this country prosperous. These socio-economic victims of domestic or foreign governmental malfeasance, ranging from nepotism to tyranny, believe the prevalent socialist propaganda, spread by corrupt politicians in their countries and ours, that the United States government will take care of them if they come to or stay in American and then give up their rights and their childrens futures to government programs, government schools, government food, government medical care, government mandated levels of water flushed in our toilets, etc., etc. Deplorably, without our permission or concurrence, these poor misbegotten and unaware masses, over 15 million strong, will usurp the rights of every legal American citizen in the process.
My ancestors never gave up working hard and never gave up their rights. Back in 1965 my father was still working nights at his second job, as a janitor cleaning U.S. Army buildings, when he was still on active duty as a Sergeant First Class, after working ten to twelve hours in uniform instructing other soldiers in logistics management. This was within two or three years to go to earn his retirement. Why did he do this? Because he wanted my brother, three sisters, and me to have more opportunities than he did. This was after he served in the Army since 1945 as part of the Greatest Generation. Where was my mother? Right there beside him. Traveling with five children around the world to Minnesota, Japan, Nebraska, Germany, back to the United States, back to Germany, and back to the United States again. This was not first class travel either. We landed at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey after a trans-Atlantic Ocean flight with two of four engines on fire. Once in Germany, we and all the other dependents on our post were loaded into trucks, we called them Deuce and a Halfs. Our solider fathers had to wish us good-bye, get their weapons, and prepare for war because of the Cuban Missile Crisis, not knowing if their families would reach the safety of the English Channel and not knowing if they would ever see us again. These soldiers knew their precious God-given lives were expendable because they were really nothing more than a trip wire to signal that the Soviet forces had attacked West German and Western Europe through the Fulda Gap. Army doctrine did not give them more than one or two days to live. These warriors, these volunteers, bid their loved ones farewell and prepared to meet the obligations of their oaths of enlistment and commission, to give their lives to accomplish their mission. Did these freedom fighters think that the troops driving the families in the Army trucks were the lucky ones? No. I remember my father and his buddies saying later that threw drew lots and the losers had to drive the trucks. Think about that. These soldiers were so self-aware of the sacrifice their freedom loving country was worth that they were prepared to die fighting against incredible odds once they had seen their loved ones off. He and my mother Loved this country so much that not were they only willing to die for it, they were willing to place their progeny, their children, in harms way while they served for freedom because it was so precious to them. Yet, neither my father nor my mother expected the government of this country, elected by of the people, by the people, and for the people, to support their children. They wanted us to carry the family names, live by the morals and ethics they exemplified, and then raise our children the right way.
What has happened since then? These United States of American provide the most prosperous existence since the beginning of mankind. I can remember life with not television. Even those in poverty now have flat panel televisions and sneakers that cost more than my first car. Yet, so many people have forgotten that these United States comprise the Land of Opportunity, the opportunity to work hard for your childrens and grandchildrens future, not the land of government handouts and hand-to-mouth living.
What happened? Basically, the neo-feudal barons who now run this country in Congress are threatened by our prosperity because we, and our childrens children, can prosper without their government programs, know what freedom is worth, and can learn from sources like the Internet that they do not control. Do not forget this is the prosperity won by our fathers, mothers, grandfathers, grandmothers, and other ancestors of all colors, races, and creeds. Won with incompressible sacrifice in World War II, the Koreas, Vietnam, The Cold War, Operation Urgent Fury, Operation Just Cause, Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, the Global War on Terror, Operation Iraqi Freedom, the dedicated work of the civil servants in all the non-military branches of the government, and all the unnamed covert defenders who have made the supreme sacrifice, as well as those who have served honorably during these eras and survived to remember. This new elitist class, exponentially more self-serving and self-aggrandizing than the so called robber barons of the industrial age, disparaged by the revisionist historians despite having built the foundation of our prosperity, must have the tired, poor, and huddled masses. Yet the politicians do not want them yearning to breathe free. The politicians want them yearning to become dependent on the government, otherwise the Senators, Representatives, and President have no power.
When you accept government welfare, when you rely on government hand-outs, when you move into a government housing project, when an imported culture destroys your culture, when you stop counting on family and friends and expect a bureaucrat who doesn't know you to "look after you," when you accept government birth-control, when you accept government abortions, and when you do not defend your freedom with your last gasping breath, your future and the future of your next seven generations is hopeless, and that is just what the new self-appointed royalty running this country want. Fight them at the ballot box. God Save American; God Save Freedom.

The media is running with a Gallup poll that says most Republicans don’t believe in evolution. That was 66%.
So if the author knows 3 Native Americans and 2 meet the profile stated, that would be accurate to personal account relecting “most”. But annecdotal evidence isn’t very deep.
This is all beside the point of the article...
