I threw out my tube of Crest toothpaste last week after I found out it was being manufactured in Mexico - but NOWHERE on the label did it indicate country of origin. I had to search the internet to find out where it was made...
It also was lacking the “inactive ingredients” list. So I chunked that sucker and made my own. Equal parts baking soda and salt (one teaspoon each) then add one-quarter teaspoon hydrogen peroxide and a couple of drops of cinnamon-flavored apple cider vinegar and voila! Foaming action tooth scrub that disinfects your mouth and really works!

Thanks for the recipe and the link. My wife has used strawberries on occasion - nothing else, just strawberries mashed into a paste.
I've found that Ajax (the powdered bathroom cleaner) works well to whiten my teeth. Okay, I'm kidding.

What is the ratio between the equal parts of bicarb and salt the quarter-teaspoon of peroxide? How much bicarb and/or salt?
