I’m not sure which would have been worse, actually having him there in person or watching his ugly mug blown up to 20 feet tall on the movie screen like we did.”—FTL_Ian

ROTFLMAO!

One of my most valued skills in my skillset is picking nicknames that stick. I had it since high school. I name somebody, it ‘fits’ so well that they are stuck with it. Usually it’s for the better, my nicknames aren’t overtly mean or hostile, usually.

It’s a blessing!

Sounds about right. Savage is a loner. I wouldn’t say it’s insecurity, necessarily. But he has cultivated an image as an outsider, and once you do that, it’s difficult to step ‘inside’ now and then. I’m an outsider myself, so I know how it can be.

He should have privately, nicely. and quietly said ‘thanks but no thanks.’ That’s what I would have done.

I’m a strong conservative but have always loved animals and have been a conservationist. Must be the influence of St Francis and Teddy Roosevelt. I liked Savage’s commentary today about the whale and animals, and I am of like mind.

In addition I’m glad your opinion of the show allowed me to clarify my ‘great’ show comment. I’d hate to mislead someone into thinking it might be a great show when our ‘respected’ Queen thinks otherwise. :-o

Medved drives me apesh|t! It’s either him or Vannity in the afternoon for me...His constant lock step with Bush on immigration is disgusting. I hate his disagreement day as well, he has the same moron ‘bats call in every week who just foam at the mouth. I can’t listen to that crap.

I thought the whale show was one of his best. I share his dismay at a 130-year-old whale being killed. I’m not a fan of hunting animals for sport, and I don’t care about the legality or illegality of it - I just agree with Savage that it was too bad that this noble creature had to be killed. That whale was definitely killed for profit, not for sustenance.

Lat anyone heard from Rock in post # 52 he appeared to be banging his head on his computer and then ran off screaming into the Massachusetts night like a wild banshee, that’s usually his sign that he is less than ‘thrilled’ with the Savage choice of subject at hand.

BINGO my FRiend, I just could NOT stand another second of whale talk,,,,SAVAGE is always passionate about things he talks about and that's all fine and dandy on most nites, however, whale talk just did not do it for me last nite, could NOT stand it!!! Now that I've read the whole thread I'm kinda glad I shutdown, I lost a pet about 9 months ago and his last days are still fresh in my mind so that topic would have done me in...........catchya later on SAVAGE NATION!

Brian Lamb (2000)

That's ironic considering Savages C-SPAN vendetta. LOL!

Great news. I know it’s too soon for that list (Don Imus, Number 10! LOL), but does anyone know how Dennis Miller is doing?
