Thanks for pulling double duty today (TSN Queen and TSN Thread-Mistress), I had visions of coming on the thread today and seeing BYJ Nation Live thread, thank God you still gave Savage top billing. LOL! Cheonmaneyo! Of course Dr. Mike gets top billing. LOL! OTOH, BYJ Nation Live thread does have a nice ring to it. ; )

So I see Savage did in fact skip out on giving a 'live' speech at his award ceremony in N.Y. and sent a DVD of his speech instead.
I wonder why Savage didn't/couldn't go after initially saying he planned to and why they played his DVD speech rather than just say 'out of sight, out of mind'. Maybe he didn't want to face his peers since he has ridiculed most of them. LOL!

Haven't you converted some other FReepers--or were they already fans?

It’s easy to see why C-span didn’t play Mike’s speech. They didn’t want their viewers to be hit with (political) blunt force trauma.
Mike speaks with his PC switch in the “OFF” position, while most of what emanates from the tv (and radio) comes forth with the PC switch turned “ON.”

When Tamar sent me the “Dancing Queen” Youtube link from Winter Sonata - I was hooked.
My wife loves that song, so it was slam dunk after that.

The other hosts should be grateful to Savage.
Although Savage’s numbers put him at number 3, he is clearly the true leader of talk host show universe.
Both Rush and Sean REACT to what Savage does.
When Savage jumps, R&S typically respond with a copycat effort.

Seems to me his sending a speech on video is what torpedoed him with CSPAN.

Thanks B-Mom, Savage’s continued discourse along these lines the first two hours clearly caught me off-guard but the issues he poignantly started bringing up about the religious aspects to animals, our relationship to them, how we treat or abuse them, what is their purpose and what happens to them when they die are issues that have both pained and troubled me a long time and still do, suddenly this supposed yawner of a show is one that I now won’t forget.

Haven't you converted some other FReepers--or were they already fans? Actually I have...all you have to do is watch Winter Sonata on Youtube.com and you'll be a fan, too. ; ) Better than anything Hollywood is cranking out right now (and it was made 5 yrs ago).

Or to put it another way:
Savage is “Jung Yujin” - fresh, original, truthful and genuine.
Rush and Sean are “Oh Chelin” - vain, predictable narcissistic and egocentric.

I initially thought that Savage was selling his DVD speech after giving it live at the event. Did he make it clear to his us, his audience, while blasting C-Span that he was the only one that didn’t show up?

Savage is Jung Yujin - fresh, original, truthful and genuine. Rush and Sean are Oh Chelin - vain, predictable narcissistic and egocentric. My hubby would respectfully disagree with you. He'd consider Rush and Hannity are like Jung Yujin: polite (most of the time) and a good, loyal friend. He'd consider Savage more like Oh Chelin: attention seeking, loud and a bit abrasive! LOL! (You can tell my hubby is not a member of the Savage Nation. LOL!) He's got too much Kim Sang Hyuk in him. ; )

On this current Savage Nation update on investigating Islamic centers:
Did not the FBI thoroughly penetrate the white supremacist organizations? Did not they pursue justice there with the utmost of tenacity? Why is a similar vigilance not apparent with the radical mosques??
