KC Johnson is covering the trial on his Durham in Wonderland blog. He reports that this investigator Mr. Himan described how Nifong recognized problems with Crystal’s story within days after she started this whole thing. According to Himan, Nifong said to him “You know we’re f*cked.”
He then went on and indicted the boys anyway.
No way does Nifong come out of this thing with his license.
“I said, ‘You don’t have any idea what the impact is going to be on your campaign.’
He said, ‘I’m getting a million dollars of free advertisements.’
“I left and didn’t say another word.”
