That and the fact that the opposition in the general election is frequently worse!

Absolutely! I am most decidedly NOT calling for the election of Democrats, and I’m NOT delusional enough to think that voting for third parties does much more than give Democrats half my vote.

There are other voters besides Democrats. Right now, the split in the national electorate is approximately 1/3 Dems, 1/3 'Pubbies, and 1/3 Independents.

And quite a few of those Independents are conservatives. I know, because I are one.
