Tony Snow is about to appear live on FOX & Friends on FOX News. The subject is Bush's push for immigration "reform".
he has kicked the faces of his conservative supporters and is standing prepared to hand my country over the the mexicans. You bet your a%% I am upset and disgusted with him. I can only assume that your attitude is colored by either mexicans in your family or your business being dependent upon cheap labor. Build the wall and call in the Dobermans. You can bet that there are no mexicans marauding across Bush’s ranch trashing his land and murdering his cattle because I am now and will be until he dies paying for secret service to keep him, his, and his land safe.
I agree. I'm still chewing on that though - you said a lot in that little statement.
Sorry, I don’t want to rehash bad stories as some of those affected may FReep or LUrk and who needs that?
Nice photos. Perhaps us European folk should have left those wonderful human sacrificing cultures to erradicate themselves. In which case the fellow in the photo would not be holding that sign today. The Spanish could have showed up 100 years later to an empty piece of real estate which would have been quite nice. Timing is everything I suppose.
There are so many treasonous sections in this bill that any member of Congress voting for it will be in violation of his/her oath of office and can therefore automatically be classified a traitor.
The U.S. Senate class of corrupt political elites seems particularly clueless about the consequences of their behavior.
To SL & All: Are you aware that against the desires of all state governors, the control of each State’s Guard was effectively given over to the Executive Branch and removed from the State Governors’.
If the Governors of Texas, Arizone, etc. wanted to put their Guard’s troops on their border, they can do that right? NOPE! Not since the Patriot Act.
It should be noted that ALL Governor’s opposed this move! Why? Because it didn’t have anything to do with Conservative vs. Liberal or Republican vs. Democrat. It had everything to do with a States ability to protect itself when needed.
Wow, that’s worth contesting in court as an overreach.
I’d rather have the Legislative Branch fix the problem they created. The Liberal infested court system is a joke. What group of people do Judges come from? No further questions your honor ;) Semi-sarcasm (lol)
There are good judges. But not nearly enough of the good ones.
It is hard to appoint the good ones to higher office.
Defense Authorization Act of 2006
And that one too.
And as far as the courts are concerned I like what was written in 1807...
“Congress passed the Insurrection Act in 1807 to severely restrict the presidents ability to deploy the military within the United States.”
Does that sound conservative or even (gasp) libertarian. To me, that just sounds like common sense :)
Why do we have to continue this cycle of garbage Legislation and sewer of a Court System? Sorry, I’m rambling...
Remember how you kidded me about ruining your morning earlier? ;-)
We are even now.
:-D
Payback is indeed hell :)
“It is hard to appoint the good ones to higher office.”
Very true. And some of the best, simply don’t want the higher appointments.
Why do they continue? Because they can. Government never cuts back on what it intervenes in.
LOL
And on my birthday too. Bwhahahahhahahahahhahahahha
That is true.
“Why do they continue? Because they can.”
No, read again please...’why do WE continue this cycle...’. “We” being us, the voters. I know why the politicians do it...because we keep letting them. Almost the high-class welfare system. We The People meant something a very very long time ago. That has been watered down quite a bit.
Oh, good I’ll give you my observation on Birthdays. In case you didn’t notice my very faint hint of sarcasm in general (lol)... I’ve always been amazed at the celebration of the most non-unique thing that a person posseses. It’s the one thing that every single other person in the world also has...so why all the hoopla ;)
Oh, and Happy Birthday!
I didn’t miss it, the Burkean principles of representation are assumed.
They can do as they wish because as voters, we lose interest and we don’t fire someone immediately when they go over the line. There’s really minimal accountability. Having more frequent elections doesn’t change it. In fact, seats in the House tend to be more stable than in the Senate.
