In Florida we have had a problem with alligators for decades, The environmental wackos wanted them listed as endangered, then they wanted them listed as threatened.
The people being eaten protested loudly
This week the State did the right thing and began issuing hunting licenses. Two gators per tag, if not all the tags are sold you can buy multiples until the desired harvest is met.

Good news.
I remember recently a gator broke into a Florida home where it was wounded ( shot ), then fled.
The deputy sheriff gave the woman who was protecting her kids a ticket for ‘hunting without a license’ from inside of her home.
