It's a problem. Everyone knows conservatives can laugh like hyenas over jokes about us IF they are actually FUNNY. Liberals are so insecure about their own positions that they are not able to see any humor in them.
I believe that if two shows went head to head, a conservative comedy vs. a liberal one, each with equally good writers and actors, the conservative one would be more watched because our humor is not limited to "The Other Guy is Dumb, HAR HAR HARHAR HAR!"
Just look at Mallard Fillmore and Doonesbury. All what Doonesbury can do is make fun of Bush; Mallard can do a wide range of issues. And as far as writing goes Mallard is filled with interesting and quirky characters while doones’ characters can only are only as deep as they need to be to make cheap cracks at conservatives. As you can see, no comparison what so ever.
