The borders are closed instantly. Rather than “redeploying” troops from Iraq to Okinawa, “redeploy” them to our southern border. If we won’t allow our troops to secure Iraq, maybe we’ll allow them to secure America. John Murtha and I can finally agree on something. It will save us the cost of a fence too.

During the four year course of the "Iraq war" we have not been successful in "securing" the Iraqi border with either Syria or Iran. We need all the fence we can get, complete with all the gee whiz gadgets, motion sensors, FLIR, cameras, seismic monitors, &c. Then add a second fence, about one hundred meters inside the first and parallel to it. It need not be as tall or imposing as the border fence since its only function is to keep citizens from wandering into the free fire zone/mine field.

There, that's fixed! I feel much better now.

GtG

We really don't need the mines, just the signs (bilingual, to be sure!) should do it.
