Concierge plan spreading in S Florida among docs and dentists, though I had not heard it called that. Meanwhile my doc has cancelled his association with Humana Medicare HMO. No wonder, they only paid him $15 to see me.

This is cheaper than my regular insurance. I pay about $100 out of pocket with an empoyer subsidy. If I had my choice, I’d have this plus a catestrophic for emergencies or serious medical problems. I had outpatient surgery recently, and I got the itemization of the costs. If I had all of the money I contributed to my health plan over the last seven years in an account earning 2% interest, plus this plan, I’d still have plenty of money left over.

I also think if there were more doctors that operated this way, I could probably shop areound get a rate in the $90/month range and still get a decent doctor.

I can go to LP field today and see country music singers for $14.00; why are you charging more?
