Last year it was reported that Iran was months away from having a nuclear bomb. Recently it is being reported that they are 3 years away from having a nuclear bomb.

Here you say Iran has six nuclear warhead missiles. Do you mean missiles with no nuclear bomb? Or are you saying the recent news reports are lies?

We captured (or helped defect) an Iranian nuclear scientist this last year. Is this part of the reason and maybe other ops of sabotage why the timetable for Iranian nukes was extended?

Can you make any clear statements on this issue?

Iran was months away for INTERNALLY made domestic variety of nuclear weapons as far as technological capability is concerned.

They already have this capability completed, however they had problems with the centrifuge cascades (some of it aided by deceptive centrifuges sold to them as a black ops).

The “set back” may have been overcome and they could be in full production swing (not clear). Which would mean they could be producing home made bombs by November of 2007. One or two only per year for now.

For various reasons both sides of the conflict prefered not to acknowledge this and allowed old information to remain in place.

The six to eight nuclear warheads - installed on Shahab missiles and operationally fully functional both as to delivery and to nuclear bomb aspects are not domestic production but imported (purchased) fission material mostly from Ukraine and combined by North Korea into viable nose cones for the Shahab missiles built by Iran.

Iran wanted to manufacture at least about five to ten bombs a year in order to quickly build up a reserve of better bombs on the new long range North Korean missiles they have negotiated in the last few days to purchase from North Korea to better reach Western Europe.

Currently Iran CAN deliver some half a dozen mid-range missiles with nuclear warheads but once launched, they have nothing with which to continue a nuclear attack or use as threat leverage.

Thus, yes they have acquired - not manufactured - some six to eight nuclear weapons. Mass media ignores these and focuses on nukes Iran will build domestically and that estimate varies wildly with the IAEA running interference against the truth or accurate details coming out and putting out disinformation.

Hope this clarifies things.
