Serbs know why they are/were fighting for,against albanians and their strategy(there is an open border between KOSOVO and ALBANIA).
The war which is going on is a world war that germans refuse to see(like french)against terrorism with a background of civilizational shock that wordy wishfull thinking multiculturalists deny.And in europe we should know that this war is also ,is first,demographic.

I don’t think that most of the germans learned the lessons of the past.I think that most of them are traumatized by their past and can’t face the entire reality.That is that you have to face,resist and fight against totalitarianism and for your core values(if you have some).IN OTHER WORDS YOU HAVE TO MAKE WAR

By the way i am french have a critical of the today french society which is also traumatized by history so that it is affected by a severe chronic self-hatred.
Multiculturalism is just a way to hide the vacuity of the society following the loss of their cultural legacy and then the loss of their pride.
It’s easier to be “multicultural” when you have no culture,no roots,easier to be everyone when you are no one

I never said that multiculturalism is the answer to our German or French societies. But you should go deeper. If you take the time to analyze the German and French situation you will find out that there is a fundamental difference betweem our countries in regard to immigrants out of muslim nations.

While France has between 8 - 10 % muslims from north Africa with a extremly agressive background Germany is dealing with 3.7 % muslims who came usually from Turkey. You know for sure that the vast majority of those Turks are quite decent people who are only interested into work and a stable economical situation. Women from Turkey have a comparable birth rate to their German sisters since they also learned about the vantages of modern birth control. Germany has indeed some local problems with young unemployed male Turks in Berlin i.e. but there is nothing comparable to the desaster you Frenchmen are confronted with.

France is paying a high price today for its colonial BS of the past. Your muslim immigrants accrete like rabbits and due to their ancestry they stick to a extremly agressive form of islam. Therefore you have to do some unpleasant things now if you want to keep the situation under control. Some suggestions:

1. Every immigrant has to confirm on oath that he respects your constitution and a catalogue of basic values.

2. Those who have sworn have to be absorbed into the French society. That means that they need work and prospect. Therefore France has to change its system to capitalism and away from a paternal state since only such policy will provide enough jobs.

3. The getthoes (banlieues) have to be smashed. If you want to absorb people into a society you can not tolerate such gatherings.

4. Those of the immigrants who refuse to vow or who misbehave because of religious or ethnical reasons have to be kicked out. If their home countries refuse to take them back we should take them into camps. All economic contacts with the refusing countries should be stopped.

BTW - I commend the same in Germany although the situation is much more under control (I know what I am talking about since a large part of my family is living in Paris).
