“You are totally wrong about what Paris did. You are totally wrong about the usual sentences for her offence. You are totally wrong about the usual time served for that kind of offense.”

So why did she lose her license? It was for a DUI.

From Wikipedia:

In September 2006, she was arrested for driving under the influence and subsequently sentenced to 36 months probation and had her license suspended. Following subsequent arrests for driving with a suspended license and speeding, Hilton was charged with violating her probation and sentenced to 45 days in jail.

“You are just a person who seems to be wracked with jealousy over an annoying, spoiled rich girl.”

Not really, just a person who is interested in seeing that the law is applied equally. I’m more man about Libbys jail sentence vs Sandy Burglar for example.

“Get over it and live your own life and try to get some money. I am (I just bought a lottery ticket)”

I started a business about a year and a half ago. So far so good.

Thank you for summing up so well what it's really about.

I'm not naive enough to think that wealthy people didn't get better breaks than poor people from time immemorial, but we used to at least PRETEND we had equality under the law. I don't admire hypocrisy either, but when people felt the need to maintain the pretence of equality under the law, there was a lot more equality under the law.

Starting with the Clintons it was made clear that most of the political class were above the law. Now most famous people seem to think they should be above the law, too.

I have no resentment against wealth, fame, or power--only the misapplication of it.
