Fred Thompson left public service in 2002. At a point he acknowledged after September 11, 2001 as critical: “Now is not the time for me to leave”.

Fred had his choice of Senator or Governor to contribute to “the long hard road” of critical issues like terrorism.

He chose to work for DisneyABC instead. And the public was left with a weak southern boarder. So I understand that Fred’s empty rhetoric didn’t exactly defeat terrorism or solve board problems in the last five years? We have a new homeland security agency though. I should thank Fred for contributing to guide that agency too?

How many times do you need to be told that he left the senate because his daughter died?

If you want to pick on Fred, there are a number of things that you could pick on him for. Choosing this one only makes you look like lowlife scum.

Fred’s grown daughter died suddenly in ‘02. She’d suffered from depression for years, and her death devastated the family. That’s why he left public service.
