So the 06 election was Bushs’ fault.
Convenient focal point of blame and they haven’t changed one iota yet, imo. President Bush is out of here in about 19 months yet they still have him in their cross hairs when in essence they should be devoting all their energy to finding winners in the Congress and the Presidency. They will fuss and mouth the President and the Rinos all the while keeping the discord on the front burner thereby not bringing together all the needed groups in order to win the next election.... The Democrats couldn't have a better supporting group.
It’s still a little early in the Presidential process but with luck maybe someone like Thompson can bring the calm to this menagerie of so called ‘conservatives’..... jmo.
That about sums it up. We are never going to get what people want. Pure 100% conservatives. So they throw away what chances we have to get back the majority by complaining to everyone about how horrible the Republicans are, then blame someone else when we lose. I so wish people would understand that even RINO Republicans serve a purpose. We get to pick the committees, etc. And IICR, even Snowe and Collins and Chaffee came through when we really needed them. This last election, all I heard was throw the bums out. That became a household phrase. Most people didn't even know why. They just heard other people say it. I haven't heard one word about throwing the bums out as far as dems are concerned. I am so tired of Bush bashing.
In Tennessee, this last election, we worked really hard to get Bob Corker elected. We pointed out Harold Fords flaws nonstop, and we wouldn't let people call Corker a RINO. We got him elected and now so far he has voted our way every time. They called Lamar Alexander a RINO, too. He has served us well. But even if they weren't perfect, they would have been a heck sight better than dems. Its like Rush says. I don't understand how you win by losing. I know Bush isn't perfect, but hes our president and our own people are hurting our cause by constant insults and throwing slurs at him. They are doing as much damage as the media to bring down the Republicans. And they holler 3rd party. That is really throwing in the towel.
