America can celebrate tonight! Despite the best efforts of ethnic lobbies, big business, and the establishment of both political parties, amnesty was defeated in the Senate 45-50.
We have won the battle, but we haven't won the war. There is nothing that will keep the same traitorous politicians from introducing a similar bill, after all this is the second year in a row the Senate has proposed amnesty. Harry Reid says amnesty is dead for the "time being," but both he and Mitch McConnell said they will revisit the issue.
This is a great accomplishment, but the battle to secure our borders will not be won until, we vote out the politicians responsible for introducing amnesties, and vote in a few patriots. See how your Senator voted. If he voted against cloture, make him promise he will never vote for any amnesty under any circumstance if it comes up again. If he voted for cloture, let them know that they lost your support with their vote.

Senatorial recall efforts need to be started!
I want Martinez sent packing.
The Leftwing media is crying in their beer. ABC says this failure is the result of “extremists” in both parties.
Seems to me the extremists are politicians in Washington who don’t want to enforce our laws.
Democrats missed picking up 12 to 20 million new voters.
(More reliable estimates of the number of illegal aliens now in the U.S. is around 34 million.)
Of course that many people cannot be deported over a weekend. but we should begin to deport them as they can be rounded up. One senator said we “cannot find them.”
I could take the INS around my town and round up hundreds who are out in the open, filling social security and welfare benefit offices, prisons, hospitals and hanging around on empty lots.
It would take a while, but even to begin to deport illegals would cause others to leave voluntarily or not come here in the first place.
To say that we cannot enforce laws is to say the U.S. has lost its sovereignty and right to be a nation.
Don’t let your guard down.
They will try again.
Now is the time to challange and rid us of the RINOs, but that has to be done in the primary season.
You’re right on. I can go to any grocery store on Friday afternoon and spot at least 20-30 cashing checks and standing in the Western Union line.
I will support a recall of fraud Mel , Graham, and Kyle !
What do we do ?
I'll know we've won when:
I see massive deportations of illegals set in motion
I see cheap labor employers guilty of breaking current law, fined, imprisoned or both.
I see sanctuary cities lose federal funding
I see legislation outlawing citizenship for anchor babies and enforced.
We have the dollars, we have the technology and the American people have spoken, but we haven't won yet.
Its a sad day when Bush, McCain, Kennedy, Hillary and the Media are on the same side against the rest of us.
ping!
Just like the teachers unions when bond issues are defeated.
We stopped only the economic disaster of instant legalization and the further break down of our rule of law in this great nation of ours. We must all work this hard to make sure the flow of immigrants coming in is stopped. Otherwise we really gained nothing with a status quo. Buld the fence and patrol the crap out of our border. Then let’s go back to the bill and the provisions to legalize those here to the benefit of all Americans not just the elites. Then we can easily enforce them to learn our language and customs and those who don’t can be deported.
It’s not over yet. They’re going to try and come back later and sneak this thing through later in the summer after all the current brouhaha dies down. Mark my words...
The fence and border patrol MUST happen now, first before anything else.
AMEN to most of your post. However, I don’t think it feasible to mass deport the 15 million but we can force them to learn English, swear allegiance to this country if they want social services such as food, housing and health services. With the border enforced we can then set up a process forcing them all to register and track them (I mean We the People track them in a national database). Once that is done, those who contribute to the system and abide by the law can stay. Those who refuse can be deported.
After this, employers can be fined up the wazooo for employing them and robbing the entire system of tax dollars to support them.
Our politicians have broke the law along with the illegal aliens for 20 years. They must be held accountable for their obtuse negligence of putting their elite agendas ahead of We the People.
We are forgiving and will help those here to become good citizens contributing to our society but first we must teach them that breaking the laws of our nation will get them a fast ticket back to the slums of Mexico. Most will embrace this for their opportunity to stay in the greatest free nation on earth. Those that don’t will never be able to be taught to obey the law and deporting 1 million of these is very feasible. But you can’t teach a totally new concept to these people and abiding by laws without them first knowing english and also without holding those responsible for letting this happen in the first place.
Economists that are nuetral and involved in big free enterprise must run all the numbers before illegal alien one gets legalized status, not research centers directly such as PEW that are directly tied into the big politicians whom have no problem breaking the law to further their agenda. As a business owner, the math is not adding up to nationalize any of these people to the benefit of America short or long-term. Once they learn to abide by laws they must increase our economic position by repaying our initial social services support like a loan stretched out over a long period. Citizenship and access to wealth must be earned as it was during the time of mass European and Asian immigration period between 1880-1930.
But need a bigger bag because there is more coming from the RNC:
