"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
The Labor Party became the ruling party in England, not America. Please excuse my error above.
I’m quite happy that my former RINO congressman (Joe Schwarz) is gone.
Get Senator Spectre (or however this slimeball spells his name). He is the epitome of scum and villany, a totally disgusting mass of flesh, the bottom of the smart barrel, the only example of a complete vacuum (without even quantum fluctuations) etc., etc.
When do we start? They still haven’t gotten the message from the ‘06 elections....
Unfortunately, he is freshly re-elected with GWB's endorsement. We'll have to wait six years.
Lets make sure this bill never gets up off the floor first. When Bush gets back, he’s gonna’ try to ram it through again by leaning on the weak-sisters. WE CAN NOT LET THIS HAPPEN.
Problem is the states where these RINOs come from have entrenched state party RINO mechanisms in place that only endorse RINO candidates. True Conservatives would have to run as Independents.
Was there ever a worse day to be a Republican than when the hated James Jeffords switched parties? Lincoln Chaffee was next in line, but thanks in part to a bruising primary, we don't have to worry about him.
I realize that this suggestion goes against the conventional wisdom, but as a lifetime Conservative and long time Republican activist I have had enough. I don't care of believe in the conventional wisdom.
The immigration bill is the last straw. It's a near death experience for our nation. If we don't get mad and take risks, big risks to deliver on our vision we will surely lose our country as we know and love it, and see our children and grandchildren grow up in a Socialist hell of our own devising.
I suggest Snarlin' Arlen.

Jack...
I see the problem being that we do not have people who stick to the principles and guidlines laid out in our party platforms, either the state or national platform...
Until people, who go by these documents, who are considering running for office pony up...We are left with these incumbents who glide by without really being held to task...And the party leadership doesn’t seem to want to rock the boat these days...
But, I do think a lot of this is starting to see the light...
And unfortunately we conservatives may be in the minority for a while longer till we recoop the losses of 2006, and 2008...
I hope we don’t widen the gap too much in 2008, and I really hope we can narrow it if a few more people see all of this for what it is...
Voter apathy, low turnout and fragmented groups withint the Republican party is what is going to put a damper on everything in 2008, unless we can get a really nice ticket for the top job then...
Rudy and McCain are not going to make the cut, Mitt is going to be the top dog going into the primaries...And Mitt is not my top pick by a long shot...When Fred jumps in it is going to change the entire makeup of the field...
And if the Hunter.Thompson folks can get together and strategize a bit...A ticket with those two guys would really give the democrats fits in 2008...
At least I know I and a few others would have a better warm and fuzzy about that election if that were to materialize...
War on the RINO’s.... it’s our clarion call and mission to remove these fakes and moles from the GOP.
I have taken the liberty of pinging the CWII list, even though this topic doesn’t fit the classic guidelines for the list. I would appreciate your response and pinging any others who might be interested.
In some states, it is very difficult to elect any kind of Republican but a RINO. You have to factor that in to the discussion.
That said, my #1 priority for 2008 would be unloading Flimsy Graham. #2 Chuck Hagel, who already has an opponent in the primary.
I will consider the immigration nightmare of the past month worth it if it allows us to knock Graham and Hagel out of the Senate and keep McAmnesty off the GOP presidential ticket.
Your thoughts are based on an invalid premis. The election of Rinos is the business of voters in the various states, not the business of the public at large.
Having said that, there must be a decision as to contributions to the Republican Senate committee that funds many campaigns.
My point is that we are under an umbrella that is not totally effective because some rain blows in under the sides.
The umbrella we have is better than no umbrella and constant rain.
