Turkey proved that they are no longer our allies.

You are joking. When was the last time they laid siege to Vienna? It's over; Turkey is practically Euro now. Coca-Cola forever and we own their film industry.

Remember when they screwed our strategy by denying the 4ID from sweeping down across Anbar? Probably due to heavy pressure from France. If only Sarko was in charge at the time.

Lets examine each offer.

First Turkey. For the US Air Force to get a pallet of CPU’s into the US base there...it takes six weeks of custom’s games and various paperwork...to get permission to ship. Trust me...I know this for a fact. Start thinking about critical radar and missile equipment...there are no waivers for this Turkish customs paperwork.

Second...Azerbaijan. Look and the map and figure how you wil fly into the country, and how many agreements will have to be worked out. Who will you pay off? Who will you upset over ten years and have to bribe? And the closeness to Iran? Should I worry about across the border raids where the radar site is taken off-line?

Third...Iraq. Hmmm...I think we will be totally out of Iraq within 12-15 months, with no friendly leader in charge and a total state of chaos.

Fourth...ocean platform. Well...could be done, but you’d need massive resupply efforts, power supply, and self-defense. Any fishing boat could come within a mile and fire enough missiles over to take down the radar within a minute or two.

So far....none of these work. I personally think we’d be better off to put a major fleet together in the Med and have roving ships to run the radar and the missiles...and just forget about European support from various liberal governments.
