WASHINGTON -- President Bush suffered a devastating setback on his top domestic priority on Thursday as a broad immigration bill collapsed in the Senate amid an apparently irreconcilable partisan standoff. The 627-page bill was taken off the Senate floor at the end of a contentious day that saw the bill's sponsors desperately trying to resolve differences between Democrats and Republicans over GOP demands to offer additional amendments.

“GOP demands to offer additional amendments...”
Once the pro-immigration side accedes to the amendments, it’s going to the floor.

From a political standpoint, Lindsay is a dead man walking. I myself am considering moving to SC just to vote his a$$ out of office.

I hope this is wishful thinking on the part of Senator Graham, who has expended a great deal of political capital with his foolish investment in this ridiculous immigration bill.

You people in SC ought to get off your butts and do something about Lindsey Graham. Is it possible to re-call him or something...he’s gone off the deep end.

I myself am considering moving to SC just to vote his a$$ out of office. Same here. Just to get the #ell out of NC, but bouncing Pansy out in the primary would be a bonus.

Graham must go. He’s become a MSM darling; along with McLame he’s on tv most weekends telling the rest of us how to run our lives.
I thought SC was a conservative state.
