Gloating over a ‘kill’ is about the same mind-set as an Islamist parading with a severed head.

What is it when you have sex with the severed head?

I need a term I can tell my psychologist.

It is a small African elephant....a calf that is probably less than a year old.

Does the lsd help you make distinctions like that??

You know where to 'stick-it.'

Wow. What stunning reparté. I guess he told you.

BTW...given the toughness of an elephant's hide even at 12 yards...that must have been one hell of a good shot.

I don’t know...haven’t tried it. You must know quite a lot about LSD. Are you a dealer?

“It’s worth noting that the only places they are endangered are those places where it is illegal to hunt them. “

Or it could be other way around. The only reason it is illegal to hunt them is because they were over-hunted in the first place. You can’t hunt wild animals anymore if they become endangered species.

“Virtually painless”?

Did you volunteer to test that theory out?

“Dying of dehydration is euphoric.”
“Unborn babies don’t feel pain when ripped limb from limb.”

Some cave drawings?

I don't think you'll find any cro magnons with bows and arrows -- it's a relatively recent weapon. Early man primarily used spears to hunt.

The conversion of the spear into the javelin, as it was the most obvious, so probably it was the earliest step in advance. Close upon this followed the sling, and last the arrow and the bow. The invention of the latter weapon is ascribed by Pliny, to a son of Jupiter.

In the days of Homer it was the weapon of the gods; and thousands of years after, it was the pride and glory of the English yeoman.

The bow does not appear to have been extensively used in later times in either the Greek or Roman armies. The ferocious Spartan preferred the close combat with manual weapons, the Athenian won his glory upon the sea, and it was with the pike that Alexander overcame the hosts of Persia.

Or you could be wrong. The facts simply do not support your theory!

“Or you could be wrong. The facts simply do not support your theory!”

But where is the evidence that hunting/poaching “protects” wild elephants?

You could argue the same line w.r.t. poaching as well. Since poachers “need” ivories, they wouldn’t want to wipe out elephants. So, poaching is good for the elephants.

"But where is the evidence that hunting/poaching “protects” wild elephants?"

Nobody is offering any evidence that poaching "protects" anything. Only just now you equated the two. Do you believe that hunters are poachers?

"You could argue the same line w.r.t. poaching as well. Since poachers “need” ivories, they wouldn’t want to wipe out elephants. So, poaching is good for the elephants."

I guess you could argue it but it does not hold water. Are you really trying to convince us that thieves are forward looking people?

Just because you could argue it does not mean the argument is reasoned.

Nice little bit of hyperbole there. Hunting is not poaching. Hunting raises fees that are used to STOP poaching and to better manage the herd.

You are wrong, period. Where hunting is legal, elephants are in large numbers. Where hunting is banned, poaching has reduced the elephant numbers drastically.

Yes, people do eat elephants.

And as Ted Nugent says, "You can't grill it, until you kill it."

You might want to look into the history of the ballista.
