Knowing what I know about the strange proclivities of Minnesotans, I’m willing to believe anything about them, but I would really love to see how the votes breakdown in his district. Obviously he had a sizable Islamic vote, but did he really have a majority, and if so, who or what put him over the top? A lot of these races also depend on the nature of the opposition. What turn out to be fatal flaws and miscalculations may start and end there. Was his opposition cowed at the prospect of making Ellison’s “constituency” the issue, for fear of being smeared as Islamophobic? There really shoulda been a concerted effort to go after this guy and what he obviously stood for, REGARDLESS of how many Muslims there were in the district.

Back in the late sixties, when the crime in the "big cities" began to escalate and all those riots broke out in places like Newark, Detroit, DC, and Watts (LA), the Twin Cities were considered one of the safest and most livable metro areas in the country.

I suppose nowhere else in the country has the (Bobby and Teddy) Kennedy immigration law of 1965 had more of a negative impact.

I live in the 5th CD, and you can’t swing a dead cat around here without hitting a “Bring em Home” sign.

I don’t know of another religion that intones their god so eagerly during the butchering of their fellow human beings.

Some Muslims, mainly from Somalia, most of whom are not citizens so can’t vote. What Ellison is, is the pride and joy of the hard left, A.N.S.W.E.R, Code-Pink types, of which he have in abundance, in addition to those who are yellow dog democrats. for all pratical purposes the republican party doesn't exist in Mpls.
