Well, wrong. Kyl has been one of the most reliable people in the senate for years. And there are Freepers here who hold the first three things you listed right on the same plateau as this. For some Freepers, anything short of 100% on “their” issues is equal to treason. Silly.

Why general Arnold has been a solid patriot 90% of the time. We shouldn't hold that little West Point thing against him.

I don’t believe I used the word “treason”. Interesting you bring that up in a post directed at me.

BTW, among my examples the Al-Quida Bill of Rights? It was right up there pretty close to this and Miers for me. So was the House and senate passing embryonic funding.

The difference between those vs. Miers/Amnesty is that it can still be reversed at any time.

SC judges can exist 30 years.

Amnesty for 30 million isn’t going to be able to be undone.

So, yes, I may fume about what else they do (rightly so) but I’ve only lost it on three issues. removing troops from Iraq. Miers. Amnesty. All cannot be undone. That is what separates these issues from others.

And Kyl FAILED on a PROMISE he made to win re-election on an issue that could not be undone. That single act destroyed any trust I had in him, and tarnished his prior record. You want me to forgive him. Well I havn’t heard Kyl begging for forgiveness. maybe you shouldn’t be running iterference for the man, calling what he did a “mistake” until he decides to embrace that viewpoint himself.
