I have nothing against people buying them. They should be allowed to. People should be allowed to buy any foolish thing they want. Doesn’t mean I can’t laugh at them.

Exactly. Here’s an example of that:

Many people on this forum would think that my choice to smoke is a foolish one. They may be right. But most of them are perfectly willing to let me kill myself with cigarettes, if that’s my choice. Most are even willing to let business owners set their own policies regarding smoking, even if they find a smoky bar or restaurant repugnant. That’s conservatism - making decisions based on correct principles, even when that goes against your personal opinion, interests, or feelings.
